Ukraine wins Chess Olympiad 2010
Silver medal for Russia, bronze for Israel
The national men team of Ukraine became gold medalist of the 39 th World Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk. Ivanchuk, Ponomariov, Eljanov, Efimenko, and Moiseenko won the gold medal in the open section. Second place is for Russia, third is for Israel. Read more

Russian women secure first gold in Khanty-Mansiysk
Winning their tenth match 4-0 against Bulgaria, the Russian women team have secured their first Olympic gold medal with a round to spare. In the open section Ukraine still leads by a point before the last round, which will be played on Sunday.Full story
